Lin-Manuel Miranda Gets a Star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Writer, composer, actor, lyricist, rapper and all around creative genius, Lin-Manuel Miranda received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
At the Walk of Fame ceremony, his mentor and friend, Broadway legend Rita Moreno spoke glowingly of Mirandas success. “You are the real deal, she proclaimed. “You are a truth teller. You deserve this honor, you have earned this honor.” Weird Al Yankovich was also present and shared, “I know all this fame and glory could not have gone to a nicer, more deserving person’. He’s the most talented person I know..even though he’s accomplished unfathomable things, I know he’s just getting started.”Lin-Manuel reflected on the magnitude of this honor he stated: “It’s so extraordinary that this star is next to here, the Pantages theater. The fact that there is a star marking where I first worked when I lived here. It’s so full circle”.
Lin-Manuel also known for his humanitarian work with disaster relief in Puerto Rico, is an active in education advocacy, hunger awareness and mentoring youth. He seems to have boundless amounts of energy and continues to share his talents with the world.
